La Ventana, is a small fishermens town where in the winter months everything is about Kitesurfing. Once discoverd from Windsurfers many years ago it has become an attractive kite destination that attracts more and more kiteboarders each year, because of its daily steady thermal winds. The intense blue Sea of Cortez, the amazing view of Cerralvo island in front and the surrounding nature of cactuses and desert make this place magical. Many kiters from the US drive down whole Baja California with their motor homes to spend the winter in La Ventana, others fly into La Paz or Los Cabos and take a Taxi. Everything in La Ventana is about Kitesurfing and the wind, a sympathetic kite community and travellers from many destinations come together to share their passion and to meet in local restaurants and bars at night.
